Mom Prepares 200 Gift Bags with Earplugs and Candy for Passengers in Case Her 4-Month-Old Cries

Traveling with small children can be challenging, especially on long flights, but one mother went above and beyond to ensure her fellow passengers had a comfortable journey.

During a recent 10-hour flight from South Korea to the United States, the thoughtful mother prepared more than 200 gift bags for the passengers on board. Each bag was filled with candy, gum, and earplugs, along with a heartfelt note explaining the situation.

The note, written from the perspective of her 4-month-old baby, Jun Woo, read: “Hi, I’m Jun Woo. I’m 4 months old and today I’m traveling to the United States with my mom and grandma. I’m a little nervous and scared. This is my first flight. I will try to stay calm, but I can’t promise. Please use the earplugs if my voice gets too loud. Enjoy your trip.”

The gesture was a show of respect for the other passengers, acknowledging that a crying baby could be a potential inconvenience. The mother wanted to make sure that everyone on the plane understood that while she would do her best to keep her baby calm, she appreciated their patience and understanding.

Inside each goodie bag, passengers found a note, a pair of earplugs, and some assorted South Korean candies. This small token was a way for the mother to preemptively address any potential disturbances and to show appreciation for the passengers’ tolerance.

The mother’s thoughtful act was met with widespread praise on social media. Comments on Facebook celebrated her kindness and empathy, with one top comment stating, “Never ever should a mother feel guilty about having her baby aboard! This post is insane, and people should understand — a baby is a baby, mothers please never feel guilty for a little baby.”
