Philippine Airlines & American Airlines launch new codeshare Flights
Philippine Airlines and American Airlines have partnered to operate codeshare flights, enabling American customers to visit Manila, the Pearl of the Orient, and the stunning beaches of Cebu. This is the first time a Philippine carrier has offered flights to multiple U.S. destinations.
Customers of American can now purchase tickets on aa.com for codeshare flights to Manila and Cebu via Tokyo, which are run by Philippine Airlines. Furthermore, passengers will be able to take flights from Honolulu and Guam to Manila.
In order to facilitate excellent connectivity with PAL’s trans-Pacific service, Philippine Airlines has placed its “PR” code on American’s flights between Los Angeles and seven U.S. cities: Atlanta, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Miami, Orlando, and Washington, D.C.
Eric David Anderson, Chief Commercial Officer of PAL, stated, “This partnership with American Airlines unlocks more options for customers travelling between Asia and the United States.” We are thrilled to have achieved our long-term goal of expanding our global presence. We’re excited to give tourists more chances to experience the wonders of the Philippines.
Philippine Airlines flies nonstop to Los Angeles twice a day, daily to San Francisco, and several times a week to New York, Honolulu, and Guam.
