Riyadh Air signs strategic partnership agreement with Turkish Airlines
A Strategic Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding has been reached by Turkish Airlines (TK) and Riyadh Air (RX) to provide a wide range of advantages for passengers flying between the Kingdom, Turkey, and locations outside of their hubs in Riyadh and Istanbul.
The agreement also paves the way for more extensive future cooperation. Through a comprehensive interline and codeshare agreement, customers of both airlines will be able to seamlessly connect between and combine sectors operated by either Turkish Airlines or Riyadh Air, allowing them to fully utilise each carrier’s global network.
Through this partnership, customers of both airlines will be able to accrue points or credits for using the other’s codeshare services when they travel. Additionally, both airlines will be looking into ways to expand their existing loyalty programmes to include both of their global networks.
Apart from providing an extensive array of guest benefits, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) binds Riyadh Air and Turkish Airlines to collaborate in investigating and executing wider synergies and efficiencies throughout the value chain, encompassing domains such as aviation-related services, cargo, and digital development.
Riyadh Air’s establishment is consistent with PIF’s mission to foster local industry growth and diversification to enhance Saudi Arabia’s economic prospects. Along with facilitating the National Tourism Strategy, the airline will also support the broader vision of the Saudi Aviation Strategy, opening up Saudi Arabia’s natural and cultural attractions to foreign visitors and generating employment opportunities.
