Turkish Airlines has made a strategic move in the aviation industry by introducing its latest venture, AJet Air Transportation, a low-cost subsidiary emerging from the well-established AnadoluJet.
Scheduled to commence operations at the end of March 2024, AJet Air Transportation is fully owned by Turkish Airlines, ensuring a seamless integration of services and quality synonymous with the renowned airline. The announcement, made in an official statement on Friday, outlines the airline’s vision to redefine affordability and accessibility in air travel.
AJet Air Transportation comes adorned with a distinctive new livery, logo, and branding, signaling a fresh chapter in the airline’s evolution. Turkish Airlines, which has been at the forefront of the industry since AnadoluJet’s inception in 2008, aims to invigorate and modernize the carrier to meet the evolving needs of today’s travelers.
Ajet will have its headquarters and operations at Esenboga Airport in the Turkish capital of Ankara and Sabiha Gokcen Airport on the Anatolian side of Istanbul.
The company intends to reflect the cost advantage in ticket prices by streamlining the services provided and utilising an economy class configuration, thereby enabling everyone to access air transportation services.
