Tata Motors, a leading name in India’s automotive industry, has once again proven its engineering brilliance. The Tata Curvv SUV has made history by pulling a 48,000 kg Boeing 737 aircraft for 100 meters, earning a place in the India Book of Records.

This remarkable feat follows Tata Motors’ earlier achievement when the Tata Hexa SUV pulled a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, leaving the automotive world in awe.

Tata Motors shared the achievement on social media with the caption: “Unleashing dominance! The CURVV pulls a massive Boeing 737 aircraft weighing 48,000 kg, shattering records!”

Tata Curvv’s Power and Performance

The Tata Curvv is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 123.2 bhp at 5,000 rpm and 225 Nm torque between 1,750-3,000 rpm. The record attempt used a 6-speed manual transmission model with front tyres inflated to 32 PSI and rear tyres to 30 PSI.

Tata Curvv Engine Options

The Curvv offers three engine variants:

1.2-litre TGDi Turbo-petrol: 125 PS, 225 Nm torque, with 6-speed MT and 7-speed DCT options.

1.2-litre Turbo-petrol: 120 PS, 170 Nm torque, with 6-speed MT and 7-speed DCT.

1.5-litre Diesel: 118 PS, 260 Nm torque, with 6-speed MT and 7-speed DCT.

This record-setting performance underscores Tata Motors’ innovation and technical excellence, reinforcing its leadership in the Indian automotive market. The Curvv’s extraordinary capability sets a high standard for future automotive challenges.
