Jet2 Offers Free Flight Training to Aspiring Pilots — Apply Now

Jet2.com has launched Jet2FlightPath, its first fully funded pilot training programme, revolutionising access to aviation careers in the UK.
Breaking down the traditional financial barriers, this unique initiative opens the cockpit door to a broader and more diverse range of aspiring pilots — without the burden of funding the £100,000+ cost of training.
Applications Open Now
Applications for Jet2FlightPath are officially open as of today. The programme seeks 60 successful candidates in its first year, offering them a fully funded journey from the classroom to the cockpit.
To apply, candidates must meet basic entry requirements:
- A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including maths and a science subject (or equivalent).
- No prior flying experience is needed — just passion, commitment, and the right attitude.

Fully Funded ATPL Training
Successful applicants will be invited to undertake an 18-month Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) course, fully funded by Jet2.com. Training will take place in the UK, Spain, or the United States, in collaboration with the airline’s trusted training partners:
- Skyborne Airline Academy
- Leading Edge Aviation
- FTE Jerez
This training includes advanced ground school, flight simulation, and in-aircraft instruction designed to prepare candidates for a professional flying career.
A Career Beyond the Cockpit
Jet2FlightPath goes beyond technical training — it offers a full immersion into the Jet2.com and Jet2holidays operations. Trainees will be exposed to different customer-facing departments including Cabin Crew and Ground Operations, gaining a holistic understanding of what makes Jet2 an award-winning airline.
This customer-first philosophy has earned Jet2.com recognition as a Which? Recommended Provider for 10 years running, and trainees will learn first-hand what makes this reputation possible.
Type Rating & Job Offer
Upon successful completion of the ATPL course, trainees will progress to Type Rating training on either Airbus or Boeing aircraft, depending on the airline’s needs. Once fully qualified, they will begin their careers as first officers with Jet2.com, flying to leisure destinations across Europe and beyond.
A Growing Airline with Expanding Opportunities
As Jet2.com continues to grow, so do opportunities for aspiring pilots. The airline:
- Employs over 1,800 pilots
- Will operate up to 135 aircraft by Summer 2025
- Flies from 13 UK airport bases to destinations across Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Canary Islands
Jet2 plans to expand the Jet2FlightPath programme in future years to meet growing demand and to continue promoting accessibility within the aviation industry.
