Etihad Airways Brings Back Iconic A380 on Abu Dhabi–Paris Route

Etihad Airways, the UAE’s national carrier, has celebrated the return of its flagship Airbus A380 aircraft to the Abu Dhabi–Paris route, elevating the travel experience for passengers journeying between these two iconic cities.

The Airbus A380, known as the world’s largest passenger jet at 73 meters long and 24 meters high, brings back Etihad’s most exclusive inflight features. These include The Residence, the only three-room suite in the sky, and The Lobby, a luxurious lounge for First and Business class travelers on the upper deck.

The return of the A380 adds a unique touch of European and French aerospace excellence to the route, with the aircraft’s final assembly taking place in Toulouse—a celebrated achievement in French aviation innovation.

This route between Abu Dhabi and Paris not only addresses the growing demand from leisure travelers but also strengthens business ties between the UAE and France, especially in key sectors like aviation, energy, and luxury.

Etihad’s service enhancements also bring a 31% increase in capacity, with the Airbus A380 joined by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner starting January 15, 2025. Both aircraft offer a three-class configuration, with First Class service available on every flight.

The A380 seats 486 passengers with nine exclusive First Apartments, 70 Business Studios, and 405 Economy Smart seats, including 68 extra-legroom options. Meanwhile, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner provides eight First Suites, 28 Business Studios, and 190 Economy Smart seats.

Together, these two aircraft will offer nearly 5,000 seats each week, enhancing connectivity and providing travelers with more choice and flexibility.

For passengers who wish to explore Abu Dhabi, Etihad’s Stopover Program makes it even more convenient. This program offers up to two complimentary nights at premium hotels in Abu Dhabi, giving travelers the chance to experience the city’s sunny beaches, rich culture, and world-class hospitality.
