In a groundbreaking development, The ePlane Company, an Indian leader in eVTOL technology, has secured a monumental $1 billion deal with the International Critical-Care Air Transfer Team (ICATT), one of India’s foremost air ambulance service providers.

This deal will result in the deployment of 788 state-of-the-art eVTOL aircraft across the country by 2026, marking a significant milestone in India’s urban air mobility sector.

eVTOLs are electric-powered aircraft designed to take off and land vertically, enabling them to bypass traffic and reach their destinations quickly. Their e200x air taxi is designed to travel up to 68 miles at speeds of up to 124 mph, with seating for two passengers. The initial eVTOL air ambulance fleet will feature three prototypes, each capable of carrying a pilot, a paramedic, and a patient, with provisions for a stretcher.
