Kuwait Airways Aircraft Damaged After Boarding Bridge Collapse

In a recent incident at Dhaka’s Shahjalal International Airport, a Kuwait Airways Boeing 777-300 suffered significant damage after a boarding bridge unexpectedly collapsed, striking and removing the aircraft’s door.
The incident took place around 2:30 am local time, shortly after Kuwait Airways flight KU283 had landed. At the time of the incident, the aircraft was empty, with only the pilot and cabin crew still onboard.

The collapse of the boarding bridge occurred after the passengers had disembarked, and fortunately, no passengers were injured. The flight crew was unharmed in the event, and there were no other reported casualties.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh has launched an investigation into the cause of the collapse. While the damaged aircraft is out of service, Kuwait Airways quickly activated its contingency protocols to ensure affected passengers were accommodated.
Those who had connecting flights from Kuwait were provided with complimentary travel arrangements to continue their journey. In addition, travelers were given temporary accommodation at a nearby hotel.
Kuwait Airways has expressed its commitment to resolving the situation efficiently, ensuring that impacted passengers experience minimal disruptions.
