The recruitment plans include over 2,000 flight attendants, more than 1,400 ground staff for Ground Operations, and around 1,300 technical experts. Additionally, the company is looking to hire 1,200 employees for administrative positions and about 800 pilots.
With a focus on Germany, more than half of the new hires will be based there, but opportunities will be available at Lufthansa Technik, Austrian Airlines, and Eurowings, with each of these airlines aiming to bring in around 700 new employees.
In 2025, Lufthansa Airlines will continue its focus on the Turnaround efficiency program, which means they will hire fewer people compared to 2024. The current plan is to recruit around 1,200 new employees, mainly for operations. While this number is smaller, it reflects the airline’s emphasis on improving its current systems and processes.
