United Airlines passengers reportedly broke economy seats to recline, sparking a social media debate.

In a bizarre incident on a United Airlines flight, a passenger was restrained by fellow travelers after attempting to damage his seat during a flight from Austin, Texas, to Los Angeles.
The unsettling event unfolded on November 16 aboard UA Flight 502, as the plane was nearing its arrival at LAX.
Passenger Gino Galofaro, who filmed the chaotic scene, explained that he woke up to witness the unidentified individual kicking the seat in front of him. The incident took place about an hour before landing, and initially, no one stepped in to intervene.
“The flight attendant walked by a couple of times, and nobody was doing anything,” Galofaro recalled.
Taking matters into his own hands, Galofaro, a San Diego-based addiction counselor, teamed up with two other passengers to subdue the disruptive flyer. They used zip ties to bind the man’s hands and feet and then secured him to his seat with a seatbelt. The situation was finally brought under control.
Upon landing, the disruptive passenger was met by police and taken into custody. The incident highlights the growing concerns around in-flight disturbances, and the quick actions of the fellow passengers ensured a safer conclusion to the flight.
