Vistara Airlines issues travel advisory due to heavy rains

Vistara Airlines has issued a precautionary travel advisory for passengers in light of an ‘orange alert’ forecasting heavy showers on Tuesday, July 16.
The advisory comes amidst concerns over potential disruptions to flights operating to and from Mumbai due to inclement weather conditions.
In a statement, Vistara Airlines alerted travelers about possible delays and advised them to factor in additional time for their journey to the airport. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted cloudy skies and heavy rainfall, prompting the airline to proactively communicate with passengers to minimize inconvenience.
Taking to social media, Vistara Airlines, through its official handle on X (formerly Twitter), informed customers about the situation. The airline’s tweet emphasized the potential impact on flights in and out of Mumbai, urging passengers to plan accordingly:
“#TravelUpdate: Flights to and from Mumbai may be impacted due to bad weather. Customers are advised to allow more time for their journey to the airport. Thanks.”
The ‘orange alert’ issued by IMD signifies a warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall, which could lead to localized flooding and transportation disruptions. Vistara Airlines’ proactive communication underscores its commitment to passenger safety and operational transparency during weather-related challenges.
Passengers traveling with Vistara Airlines are encouraged to stay updated with further announcements and advisories from the airline, as well as to monitor weather forecasts and local advisories to ensure smooth travel plans amidst the prevailing weather conditions.
