Alaska Airlines Enhances Premium Beverage Line-Up with Exclusive Craft Beer

Alaska Airlines is already offering its first-ever house brew, a unique craft beer made just for the airline by Seattle-based Fremont Brewing. Free in First and Premium Class, available for purchase in Main Cabin, and served in a few lounges is Alaska’s newest IPA.

Before both companies decided on the bright orange, melon, and tropical notes of the brewery’s India pale ale, Fremont Brewing, which makes small batch artisan beers in the Fremont neighbourhood of Seattle using the best local ingredients, collaborated closely with Alaska to produce a variety of blends to taste test 30,000 feet in the air.

With its distinctive design, the container features an Alaska Airlines 737-8 MAX soaring through the clouds above a vintage scene of snow-capped mountains, forests, and water that are representative of Washington state.

From the first concept stage to the final drawing board, Alaskan and Fremont creative artists collaborated.

Todd Traynor-Corey, managing director of guest products at Alaska Airlines, stated, “The ‘Cloud Cruiser’ is the result of two beloved and popular Pacific Northwest brands coming together to create a top-tier beverage to add to our premium line-up.” “On an Alaskan airline or in one of our lounges is the only location on Earth where you can have this unique craft beer. The first customers to try our new, high-end West Coast product have already given us comments, saying they couldn’t wait to fly with us again and get another bottle of ‘Cloud Cruiser.’”
