American Airlines flight attendants ratify new agreement
American Airlines flight attendants, represented by the Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA), have ratified a new collective bargaining agreement that brings substantial improvements in compensation, benefits, and quality-of-life provisions.
American Airlines CEO Robert Isom celebrated the milestone, stating, “It’s an exciting day for American’s nearly 28,000 flight attendants and our entire airline. Securing an agreement for our flight attendants has been a top priority, and today, we mark the achievement of this important goal.
The shared mission of both the APFA and company negotiating teams was to deliver an agreement our flight attendants have earned. I deeply appreciate their hard work and unwavering focus.”
Isom extended his gratitude to APFA President Julie Hedrick for her leadership throughout the negotiations and her daily role in leading the industry’s top flight attendants. He also thanked Secretary Pete Buttigieg and other Administration partners for their support during the process, as well as the American team for their exceptional efforts in reaching this agreement.
The new contract promises to enhance the working conditions and overall experience for American Airlines flight attendants, reflecting the airline’s commitment to valuing and supporting its workforce.
