Avelo Airlines announces nonstop flights to San Juan, Puerto Rico and Sarasota-Bradenton, Fla.

Avelo Airlines announced a historic expansion at Wilmington International Airport (ILG) with the addition of two additional nonstop tropical destinations: San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Sarasota-Bradenton, Florida. Avelo is the only airline to offer nonstop flights beyond the continental United States at ILG, Philadelphia International Airport’s (PHL) convenient, inexpensive, and travel-friendly alternative.

Avelo will operate flights to 15 nonstop locations from its headquarters in Philadelphia / Delaware Valley when these two new destinations launch in November. Avelo has carried more than 125,000 passengers at ILG since it began operations in February, representing the greatest single-year growth rate in airport history.

Starting at $99, special introductory one-way prices are available between ILG and San Juan’s Luis Muoz Marn International Airport (SJU). Starting at $49, one-way introductory prices are available between ILG and Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ). At AveloAir.com, customers can make bookings.

On November 15, 2023, Avelo will start providing nonstop twice-weekly service to San Juan on Wednesdays and Saturdays. On November 2, 2023, Avelo will launch nonstop service to Sarasota-Bradenton with twice-weekly service on Thursdays and Sundays. The two 189-seat Boeing Next-Generation 737-800 aircraft that Avelo has based at ILG will be used on both trips.
