Delta Rolls Out Sync Seatback Entertainment on 330+ Planes
One year after the debut of Delta Sync seatback on its first A321ceo, Delta Air Lines has expanded the personalized entertainment experience to more than 330 aircraft.
Passengers on these flights can now enjoy seatback screens that function like smart TVs, complete with travel tools for SkyMiles members designed to simplify their journey. Delta Sync seatback is currently available on five aircraft types: all A321ceos, A320s, A319s, most 757-200s, and many 737-800s, covering 40% of Delta’s in-flight entertainment capacity.
With over 165,000 seatback screens—more than any other U.S. airline—Delta plans to extend this technology across more fleet types soon. Customers can expect new software updates that include a kids’ entertainment view, revamped flight tools, and improved platform performance and stability.
First introduced at CES 2023, Delta has made significant strides in offering fast, free Wi-Fi, powered by T-Mobile, to SkyMiles members on over 90% of its domestic fleet, with plans to extend this feature to international flights. Delta Sync seatback leverages this connectivity, offering customers enhanced value and more features beyond just entertainment.
The latest software release includes new features to improve the day-of-travel experience. The “My Flight” feature consolidates key travel information, including real-time flight tracking, connecting flight status, 3D route maps, and airport wayfinding.
Additionally, seat numbers are now displayed on the screens to help passengers find their seats during boarding, and Delta Studio content is highlighted through a redesigned, intuitive interface, offering easier access to hand-picked entertainment options.
