Emirates Introduces Luxury Premium Economy Service on A380 Flights to Mumbai and Bangalore
Emirates held an exclusive tour of its four-class A380 aircraft in Mumbai to commemorate the impending introduction of its Premium Economy service in India.
Emirates will be the first Middle Eastern airline operating in Mumbai to provide the understated luxury experience when the new cabin class makes its debut on its A380 flights later this month.
The aircraft, registered as EK506, with Premium Economy seats, touched down at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (MIAL) so that VIPs, travel agencies, important business clients, and the media could have a sneak peek at the soon-to-be-released service.
The Premium Economy cabins, which will be introduced on Emirates’ A380 service to Mumbai and Bangalore on October 29 and outbound flights from the two cities to Dubai on October 30, were given a guided tour to the guests.
Emirates A380 Premium Economy cabins include 56 luxurious cream leather seats arranged in a 2-4-2 arrangement at the front of the main deck. Among other smart and opulent features, the new cabin class offers seats with a wide recline, extra legroom, and an upgraded dining experience. Travelers looking for an upscale eating experience can choose from a variety of regional menus that offer a wide range of regional cuisines and a substantial beverage selection only for Premium Economy passengers.
In addition, the in-flight entertainment system Ice, which has over 6,500 channels, has had major improvements. It now has a bigger screen and a vast library of films, TV series, and music in regional Indian languages including Hindi, Marathi, and Kannada.
Meanwhile, Indian passengers travelling between Dubai and Mumbai can book Emirates’ Premium Economy seats on flights EK500/501, while those flying between Dubai and Bengaluru can secure their seats on flights EK568/569. Seats can be booked immediately via emirates.com, Emirates sales offices and travel agencies, for outbound travel from the two Indian points from 30 October.
