IndiGo, India’s premier airline, has added new domestic routes for the summer schedule. Beginning March 31, 2024, the airline will offer direct flights from Ahmedabad to Rajkot, Ahmedabad to Aurangabad, Bhopal to Lucknow, and Indore to Varanasi.
The airline plans to launch direct flights from Kolkata to Srinagar and Jammu on April 10, 2024 and April 21, 2024, respectively. Flights between Kolkata and Jammu via Srinagar will begin on April 10, 2024. New links with important cities including as Ahmedabad, Lucknow, and Kolkata would improve mobility and connectivity to domestic and international destinations, benefiting both business travellers and tourists.
The demand for domestic travel is rising as more people choose to fly and as new airports open. The CAPA report states that 860 million air travellers are anticipated in India by 2030, offering a substantial potential for economic expansion.
These new roads further reinforce the bonds between the cities by facilitating trade, business, and job possibilities. With improved connectivity and accessibility, IndiGo is contributing significantly to the economic development of these cities, strengthening its position as India’s top airline.
