Riyadh Air signs strategic partnership agreement with Turkish Airlines

Riyadh Air to Place Order for New Widebody 787-10 or A350-900 by 2025

Turkish Airlines (TK) and Riyadh Air (RX) have signed a Strategic Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to offer passengers more benefits when traveling between Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and other destinations outside their hubs in Riyadh and Istanbul.

This partnership opens the door to even greater future collaboration. Through an interline and codeshare agreement, passengers will be able to easily connect between flights operated by either airline, making the most of their combined global networks.

Customers traveling with both airlines will also be able to earn frequent flyer points or credits when flying on the partner’s codeshare flights. The two airlines are also exploring ways to expand their loyalty programs, so travelers can enjoy more rewards across both networks.

In addition to enhancing the customer experience, the MoU lays the groundwork for both airlines to work together on improving the efficiency of services in areas like aviation, cargo, and digital technology.

Riyadh Air’s launch is in line with the Public Investment Fund (PIF)’s goal of boosting local industry and diversifying the economy. The airline will play a key role in advancing Saudi Arabia’s National Tourism Strategy, showcasing the country’s rich cultural and natural attractions to international visitors, while also creating job opportunities and contributing to the Saudi Aviation Strategy.
