Travellers shared their terrifying experience on X, formerly known as Twitter. One man claimed that after hitting the aircraft ceiling twice, he “genuinely felt that was the end.”

On X, a different traveller by the name of Abi commented, “The @emirates flight from Perth to Dubai was awful.” I rarely get up unless absolutely necessary because I hate flying. Turbulence and a seat warning were issued by the pilot. We hit the ceiling together, me and the others, in real time. My hair is visible in the crack. The crew were so supportive.”

The aircraft proceeded to Dubai, where it safely touched down at 04:45 local time, where emergency medical personnel greeted the passengers.
