The incident occurred on Tuesday night’s United flight 1813, which departed on schedule at 9:43 p.m. from Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Another passenger, @bperkins33, uploaded a video to TikTok in which a woman is seen apparently agitated because “she couldn’t get her wine,” according to the caption.

The woman was given a seat-belt warning by the flight attendant and told to accept it, or the plane would have to land in Arizona. The woman kept talking over him and tried to call his bluff, despite the attendant’s repeated commands to “Sit down.”

In the video, a flight attendant called at the woman to go back to her seat. The flight attendant warned the passenger, “Miss, if you don’t sit down, we’ll land the plane and you’ll go in handcuffs.” Additionally, he charged that she had consumed alcohol prior to boarding the aircraft.

“I noticed you were drinking wine,” and I still allowed you to board,” he informed her. “I tried to help you.” The woman was also seen clashing with other travelers as they yelled at her for the flight’s delay.

A representative for United Airlines stated that “law enforcement officials met the aircraft upon arrival and removed the passenger, and the flight subsequently departed for Los Angeles later that evening.”
