American Airlines Flight Diverts Back Over the Atlantic After In-Flight Medical Emergency

Hidden camera reportedly found in bathroom onboard American Airlines flight

An American Airlines flight from Philadelphia to London, UK, had to make a last-minute diversion to a minor airport in Canada. The airport lacks enough amenities, including food and chairs, according to information provided in a TikTok post by a traveler. The trip took almost 12 hours, seriously disrupting the passengers’ travel plans.

After being stranded in Gander, Newfoundland, for more than 10 hours following the medical emergency Diane Keane, a passenger on American Airlines flight AA728, claims that she was “kidnapped” by the airline in a Tiktok video.

According to reports, Flight AA728 was scheduled to leave Philadelphia at 11 p.m. on Thursday for what should have been the relatively short flight over the Atlantic to London, but owing to an unrelated issue, the plane didn’t actually take off until after 2 a.m. It took several hours before passengers were even handed water bottles at Gander Airport, which Diane criticised for treating them like they were in a school auditorium.

Diane claims that even though she didn’t see the customer who experienced a medical problem, other passengers said that they appeared to have had a panic attack and were smiling as they were escorted off the aircraft by paramedics.

Diane and the other travelers were regrettably unable to just eliminate the sick person and go on to London. The crew had run out of time and was practically stranded in Canada due to the delay in Philadelphia and the diversion midway across the Atlantic.

It took new crew members more than 10 hours to get the passengers and the aeroplane off the ground, but it wasn’t to take them to London. Instead, the plane made a direct circle back towards Philadelphia, putting Diane and the other passengers back where they had started their trip over 21 hours earlier.
