Delta Air Lines Unveils Enhanced A350 Configuration for Summer 2024

In a significant move towards heightened luxury travel, Delta Air Lines has announced plans to enhance its upcoming A350 fleet, set to debut in the summer of 2024. The focal point of this upgrade is the expansion of the Delta One business class cabin, which will now boast 40 premium seats, up from the previous 32.

This expansion comes as part of an upcoming layout for the A350s, showcasing Delta’s commitment to delivering an extraordinary experience for its passengers. The additional Delta One business class seats are expected to redefine the premium travel segment, providing travelers with unparalleled comfort and space.

Moreover, the new layout introduces two rows of the 1-2-1 configuration behind the second set of doors, a move that not only contributes to the increased number of Delta One suites but also holds potential advantages for economy class passengers. Notably, the original configuration retains the 32 Delta One suites in the front section of the aircraft.

While the Delta One business class experiences a significant upgrade, changes also extend to the Premium Select premium economy cabin. As a result of the increased Delta One seats, the Premium Select cabin will no longer feature a row (2-4-2), aligning with Delta’s commitment to delivering a seamless and premium travel experience.

The A350’s interior redesign aims to strike a balance between luxury and efficiency. Despite the addition of more flat-bed seats in the Premium Select cabin, the overall seat count remains the same, showcasing Delta’s strategic approach to optimizing passenger comfort without compromising on capacity.

The exciting development coincides with the announcement of new routes for the A350s, with non-stop flights scheduled from Atlanta to Johannesburg commencing on June 1st, followed by Atlanta to Cape Town starting August 1st.
