EasyJet launches flights for the first time to Cairo, Egypt
- Egypt’s Capital Cairo has become the latest new destination to join easyJet’s extensive network, with a brand-new route from London Luton

EasyJet has announced a brand-new route that will launch this winter and run all year long from London Luton to Cairo, the capital of Egypt.
As the 157th destination on easyJet’s vast short-haul network connecting Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, this will be the first time the airline operates to Cairo, one of the biggest and most famous cities in North Africa. Both the mobile app and easyJet.com are now selling seats.
Beginning on October 31st, flights will run three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays all year long, giving consumers from the UK a direct connection.
EasyJet’s newest destination is undoubtedly one of the most renowned destinations on the planet, home to the world-famous Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Nile river, along with hundreds of palaces, mosques and museums, and lively shopping bazaars.
On EasyJet’s Egyptian network, Cairo joins popular beach destinations Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh. The airline serves Egypt as the main airline connecting the UK and the country continues to be a favourite among British tourists due to its year-round sunshine, extensive sandy beaches, and renowned coral reefs.
