Unconventional In-Flight Innovations: Passengers Transform Economy Seats into Luxurious Hideaways

All of us have tried-and-tested techniques for enhancing the comfort of aeroplane travel. On a recent journey, one customer developed a “hack” that allowed them to fly economy while enjoying the privacy of a business class suite.
A tent was built around a passenger’s economy seat on board an Airbus A340. When you take social distance to the next level at 30,000 feet, as one passenger put it in his video of them.

The customer clipped one end of a long, thin material that resembled an airline blanket to the overhead bin and draped it all the way down to the seat to “pitch” a tent.
“I caught my neighbour converting the economic class to the VIP area. Has anyone else have this on a flight? On the video, Vashakidze poses a question. The tent actually provided greater privacy than most business class suites, whose doors and enclosures are located just above a standing person’s head level.

Different people have responded differently to the video. The majority of commenters support the tent and laud the traveller as “genius.” However, several were questionable, wondering what the traveller planned to do in private.
