Akasa Air Launches International Flights From Mumbai to Doha
Akasa Air, India’s fastest-growing airline, has announced international operations, with Doha, Qatar’s capital, becoming the first international destination in its rapidly expanding network.
Starting March 28, 2024, Akasa Air will operate four nonstop flights per week between Mumbai and Doha, improving air connectivity between Qatar and India. Flight bookings are now open on Akasa Air’s website www.akasaair.com, Android and iOS apps, and through multiple leading OTAs, with return fares starting at INR 29012.
After a record-breaking 19 months since its founding, Akasa Air is now the first Indian airline to travel abroad. The next stage of the airline’s expansion, which aims to offer the friendly and effective Akasa experience to as many people as possible at reasonable prices, began with the start of operations to Qatar.
In addition to being the capital and commercial centre of Qatar, Doha is renowned for its rich cultural legacy and is one of the main economic engines of the Middle East. All year long, the city welcomes a diverse range of Indian visitors for business, spirituality, and pleasure. Trade and tourism will be promoted by the introduction of more direct and efficient travel options.
The launch of operations to Qatar is in line with Qatar Tourism strategy 2030 that aims to make the country the fastest growing tourism destination in the middle east by 2030.
