Korean Air is taking its fleet to new heights with the arrival of the Airbus A350-900, announced on January 26, 2025. This advanced aircraft promises to offer passengers an unmatched flying experience, blending luxury, comfort, and cutting-edge technology.
The A350 will soon be flying on popular routes, starting with Japan and expanding to more exciting destinations.
New Routes: A350 Takes Flight
Korean Air is kicking off its Airbus A350-900 operations with twice-daily flights between Seoul Incheon (ICN) and Osaka-Kansai (ITM), Japan. This is just the beginning! Another A350 will soon fly daily between Seoul and Fukuoka (FUK), Japan.
But it doesn’t stop there. In March 2025, the A350 will start flying to Taiwan (TPE), followed by long-haul routes like Madrid (MAD) and Rome (FCO) later in the year. Perfect for both short regional trips and long-haul adventures, the A350 is designed for ultimate efficiency and comfort.
Unbeatable Comfort: Luxury Onboard
The Airbus A350-900 is all about comfort. With a total of 311 seats, the aircraft offers both premium and economy options for every traveler.
Prestige Class features a 1-2-1 staggered seat layout, giving passengers plenty of space and easy access to their seats. Each seat offers 22 inches of width and can extend to 77 inches for a relaxing sleeping position on long flights.
Economy Class: Comfort for Everyone
Economy Class is equally comfortable with its 3-3-3 seating arrangement. Slim seats and more space between rows ensure a relaxed journey for everyone, whether it’s a quick regional flight or a long international trip.
Korean Air’s Engineering Excellence
Korean Air is not just flying the A350, it’s also part of the aircraft’s design and engineering process. The airline’s in-house Aerospace Division has designed and built the A350’s forward, aft, and bulk cargo doors, showing their expertise and innovation.
Expert Training for Smooth Operations
Korean Air has carefully selected a team of experienced pilots for the A350. The flight crews underwent a six-month training program at the Airbus Asia Training Center in Singapore, preparing them to operate the A350 smoothly and efficiently.
