'Worse than giving birth': This might have caused 700 Airbus employees to fall sick

According to reports, more than 700 employees of Airbus Atlantic are conceived to have become ill after the company’s Christmas dinner in France.

Notably, the company’s restaurant at its location in Montoir-de-Bretagne, in the Loire-Atlantique region of western France, organised and catered the festive feast. There were 2,600 workers present at the dinner on December 14. In an effort to determine what caused a widespread gastroenteritis outbreak that affected approximately 700 employees sick, the health authorities have opened an investigation.

The affected employees displayed “clinical signs of vomiting and/or diarrhoea” on December 14 following the holiday meal. After the meal, 700 Airbus Atlantic Employees the majority became sick 24 to 48 hours later.

A worker identified only as Nolwenn stated that: “I experienced headaches and colic that I had never experienced before.” It was worse than giving birth.”

The media was informed by Jean-Claude Iribarren, secretary of the Airbus Atlantic works committee, Airbus Staff Council that the meals, which were part of the company’s annual Christmas dinner for 2,600 people, were made by the canteen using ingredients sourced locally.
