United Announces Largest-Ever Summer Flight Schedule for 2024

United expands its leading transatlantic network with the launch of its largest-ever summer 2024 schedule, which includes new service to Reykjavik, Brussels, Rome, and Malaga in addition to the first and only non-stop route between New York/Newark and Faro, Portugal.
In order to provide customers with additional time and opportunities to explore Europe, the airline also reinstates nine of its most popular seasonal routes to Portugal, Italy, France, and Spain up to two months early.
More transatlantic destinations are served by United than by any other Us airline, and it is still the only one that connects the United States directly to Dubrovnik, Malaga, Mallorca, and Tenerife.
New Service to Faro, Portugal
With the launch of its new route from New York/Newark on May 24, United will be the first and only airline to directly connect the United States and Faro, Portugal. Customers from the US will find it easier to travel to Portugal’s Algarve region, which is home to some of the nation’s finest beaches and remarkable historical attractions, due to the new flight.
A Boeing 757-200 will be used for the four weekly flights. With year-round service between Washington/Dulles-Lisbon, New York/Newark-Porto, and New York/Newark-Ponta Delgada, Azores, as well as seasonal service between these three cities, United now serves more destinations in Portugal than any other U.S. carrier.
On May 23, United will resume seasonal flying between Reykjavik and New York/Newark for the first time since summer 2022. The flight will operate daily on a Boeing 757-200.
